Zepto is honored to welcome Dr. David S. Perlin to our Advisory Board.
Dr. Perlin is a globally recognized biomedical scientist and executive whose career spans more than 30 years at the forefront of infectious disease research. He is an inaugural Chief Scientific Officer and EVP of the Hackensack Meridian Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI), where he led the rapid growth of innovations to improve patient outcomes.
Previously, Dr. Perlin served as Executive Director of the Public Health Research Institute at Rutgers and Director of the NIH-designated Regional Biocontainment Laboratory. He has secured nearly $250M in research funding, published 360+ papers and articles, and helped advance FDA-approved therapeutics and diagnostics. Currently, he leads several NIH Center of Excellence in Translational Research and co-leads the AVIDD Metropolitan Antiviral Drug Accelerator (MAVDA). His contributions to innovation, leadership, and efforts in COVID-19 response have been widely recognized.
Dr. Perlin has also served on numerous advisory boards across academia, foundations and industry, including the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC) and the Global Action Fund for Fungal Infections (GAFFI). In addition, he serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Fungi, reflecting his leadership and influence in infectious disease research.
Dr. Perlin’s expertise and vision will be invaluable as Zepto continues to advance innovation at the intersection of science, technology, and impact.
