Dong Chen,
MD, Ph.D

Dr. Dong Chen is a Hematopathologist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He received his medical degree from Beijing Medical University, and later obtained Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kentucky. He completed his pathology residency training in University of Wisconsin, Madition, WI, and Hematopathology fellowship training at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He has more than 15 years of experience in laboratory medicine and pathology.

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Chen is active in research, innovation and education, providing mentorship to residents and fellows. He has published more than 150 papers and book chapters in high-impact scientific journals. He also serves on committees of College of American Pathology (CAP), American Board of Pathology (ABP), and World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH).
